Quito, Ecuador - Wednesday

We had a good flight from Cusco back to Lima. An even better one from Lima to Quito as we were in Premium Economy. We decided we could get used to shorter queues, preferential boarding and disembarking, decent meals etc.
Our hotel is the Patio Andaluz. A very special place. It's an old colonial house which used to belong to a Spanish nobleman. "House" doesn't quite cover it. Absolutely stunning. Staff in period dress, loads of antiques, good food and totally peaceful and relaxing. A welcome cocktail helped set the mood!



























A walking tour of the old town tomorrow. Hope the weather improves!

    Jealous, jealous, jealous! That hotel is beautiful. We were so gutted when we couldn't stay there. You two are doing loads, it looks so wonderful and bringing back so many memories. You will enjoy the Galapagos, I'm feeling excited and I'm not even there. Den x
